Prague, or Praha as the locals call it, is one of the prettiest cities in Central Europe with plenty to explore. Take a stroll through Prague Old Town to see the medieval astronomical clock and climb the Bell Tower for breathtaking views of the city. Next, walk to the other side of the Old Town Square to see the Church of Our Lady before Tyn - one of the most iconic buildings in Prague.
The best way to get around the city is by the metro or by tram. Remember to validate (stamp) your ticket when you get on public transport.
Sightseeing is probably high up on your list but we recommend squeezing in a few adventurous activities. Ideal for large birthday groups, try white water rafting a boat cruise or for the big kids, Czech out (lame pun intended) the Aqua Palace water park with pool bar, flumes and spa.
You can't visit the beer capital of Europe and not visit a brewery, have a tour around the biggest in Prague with a few beers included. In between activities, have lunch at the Grand Cafe Orient, one of our favourite eateries in the Old Town with fab art nouveau decor, try and a get a table on the balcony so you can spy on the tourists below. Next onto paintballing, quad biking or even a quiet and relaxing pamper session.
Birthday groups in Prague are encouraged to celebrate in the traditional Czech way with plenty of beer, food and good company. Start the night with an authentic meal and trust us when we say to try the Czech dumplings (houskový knedlík), they are amazing with plenty of gravy! Veggies - try the fried breadcrumbed cheese, need we say anymore?
