Freedom Visits Manchester
Lynda Hulme - Marketing
Our Freedom Team love to be able to say "oh yes we've tried and tested that", "we've been there and done that" and so with glee we headed off to Manchester for an overnight stay.
On this particular FAM (familiarisation) Trip schedule was beer swilling, dancing on the benches, singing as loudly as possible to the Oompah Band at the Bierkeller. Only leaving our private Booth to show off our moves or get more drinks in at Tiger Tiger. Dirty dance, Burlesque and Street dance at a Dance Divas dance class. AND finally making, shaking and of course drinking at a Cocktail Making session in a cool bar in the city centre.
We also visited some of the hotels that we offer to you, bounced on the beds, tested the pillows and been shown the facilities - yes we checked out the late night bar too.
The Bierkeller really does live up to its billing as a riotous night out and the Oompah Band are just pure gold in entertainment, encouraging audience participation.
Everyone loves a little Nightclub VIP treatment and we were totally spoilt.
Our Dance Divas instructor was fun and actually quite complimentary, which was a big surprise as we're a long way short of being trained dancers. The session was fun, fun, fun all the way and hey we're now famous the world over - well the video of our dance routine did make it onto the suppliers website!
The alcohol was flowing at our Cocktail Training class quite literally. The trained bar staff member made cocktail after cocktail for us to sample and if we were positive at all about any called straight up to recreate them for ourselves. Wow the bar was littered with full, half empty and completely drained cocktail glasses. Interestingly "mocktails" were on offer too and we can heartily recommend a Virgin Mojito.
Manchester rocks, it's no surprise to us that it's such a popular party destination and it was with heavy hearts that we said goodbye and headed to the train station - we'll be back!
