Travel is back
After a difficult 16 months, Travel is back for 2021 and Beyond
. After so many cancelled weddings, postponed bookings and events being put on hold, we have well and truly got reasons to celebrate.
The rollout of the vaccination programme means we can get back to doing exciting things with friends. July 19th also known as ‘Freedom Day’ (we love the name), marked the lifting of almost all Covid restrictions in England. Wales and Scotland will be doing the same in the coming weeks meaning the party can well and truly get started. With weddings and celebrations already getting back into full swing, the essential hen and stag weekends can be booked and enjoyed to its fullest.

Please note that a booking/event affected by Covid-19 is based on Freedom’s ability to run the event rather than any group, some members or any individuals ability to attend the event. This does not apply if you are having to self-isolate, please read FAQ below.

Questions & Answers...
I am due to travel in 2021, what should we do?
Your booking is still in place and still going ahead as planned. You and your group should continue to pay for the weekend as normal by the balance due date. Group leaders only can contact us via your Freedom VIP area or by emailing email@example.com
. Response times may be a little slower than normal so please be patient.
A member of my party have tested positive/been required to self-isolate as a close contact?
In case you or a member of the group tests positive for Covid-19 or are contacted by NHS Track and Trace and unable to travel, please notify us. If the event is able to go ahead as planned, we unfortunately would not be able to offer refunds on any monies paid as per agreed booking terms. We can provide relevant information required for travel insurance purposes should they have a suitable policy. We can also offer a name swap free of charge if there is someone who is able to take their place.
Can we postpone our weekend to a later date?
As per booking terms and subject to availability, you can postpone your weekend anytime up until the balance due date 6 weeks prior to travel. There is a one off fee of £80 for us to cancel existing booking and rebook and move all attendee details to new booking. We will work hard to ensure price of event are the same but seasonal variations may lead to a price change for which we will notify you before booking is changed.
My final balance is due, should I pay as normal?
Yes, if your weekend balance due date passes without payment you could put your booking at risk and lose everything you have paid. It is important to remember that if your balance payment doesn’t reach us by the balance due date, we will have to treat the booking as cancelled by you to avoid being beholden to pay contracted partners. You will not be entitled to any refund.
We have an overseas booking, but the country we are travelling to is currently on the Amber List?
If the package is available in chosen destination then as there is no significant change to elements booked, refunds will not be due. The new traffic light system is not a significant change to a holiday as it can still be run. The colour tells you whether or not you have to quarantine when you arrive back in the UK. As such, it doesn’t affect your actual time on holiday. No refund is due from us if your destination is amber. However, Freedom booking terms do allow for a postponement to a later date or a change of location (subject to availability).
What if my destination was put on the Red list and government advice was to allow essential travel only?
In this instance and in line with booking terms we would offer you a change of location to any of our UK destinations or a postponement to a later date. This is something we have been doing successfully over the last few months as the traffic light system came into play. Alternatively we could simply postpone your weekend to a later date. When giving us a new date, we will check prices and advise accordingly. If approved then we would move everything to new date. The booking must be the same number of people and duration. No refunds will be given to group members unable to move but we will allow a name change.
Should I book my weekend or wait?
With high pent up demand from new bookings and bookings postponed from the past 16 months choosing new dates we advise booking very early. The best prices and availability for a 2021 or 2022 weekends are now. Suppliers typically increase prices in the next couple of months for next year, so booking now also secures next year’s events at this year’s prices.
