For many, outdoor go karting can’t be beaten. With more space to play with than its indoor counterpart, tracks are typically longer, wider and therefore creates more overtaking opportunities. These factors also mean that your average speed is a lot higher than that of indoor go-karting, which let’s face it, is the main thing we want from a driving activity.
It’s therefore no surprise that lots of professional drivers learn their trade on outdoor go-karting tracks, with Lewis Hamilton perhaps being its most famous student (you can follow in his footsteps at our Essex track).
No race is the same, as not only are you racing your friends, but you also have the elements to contend with. Trust us there is no better feeling than skidding round a chicane in the rain while watching your friends spinning off into the gravel.
The question is, in these outdoor conditions will you be more ‘Fast and Furious’ or ‘Driving Miss Daisy’?
