Also a short drive away are the picturesque villages of Lacock and Castle Combe, both favourite locations for TV and film directors. Lacock features in Harry Potter, Downton Abbey and Pride and Prejudice, and Castle Combe was the backdrop for War Horse.
For keen walkers, just 5 minutes’ from the Cotswold Way.
