Designed in the fifties, made from lightweight Duroplast - resin reinforced with cotton or wool - and fitted with an unpretentious two-stroke engine, the Trabant is a true icon of Eastern European engineering. Learn to operate the gear stick built into the dashboard and take a scenic cruise to the hills, where a typically hearty Hungarian meal awaits. Then race back to Budapest at low speed for a high-octane night out.
Your guide will meet you in the hotel lobby and the fleet of Trabants will be waiting for you as near the hotel as is possible to park them. From there you will weave your way out of the city, up into the pretty hills just outside of Budapest. After lunch you will drive back to the hotel.
