Once everybody has successfully caught waves and felt the surge and rush of a breaking wave we exit the water together. Next on the beach we demonstrate paddling your board, correct hand & foot position and the hard bit, standing up (on land). The class then have a go at paddling and then jumping up to the standing position on their board, this also tells us if they have a natural or goofy stance (Surfy term for left or right foot forward). We then all enter the sea and begin to catch waves and start stand up surfing.
Maximum group size of 30.
Minimum age is 8

A. Over the years we have adapted our lessons to accommodate calm conditions.
Q. What if it is raining for our surfing lesson?
A. If it is raining, surfing is the best thing you can do as you are already wet and it's a great way to spend a rainy day!
Q. What is the best time of the year to learn?
A. Any time from April through to October is best for beginners; it's usually a bit warmer as well! Though with our new heated changing facilities the cold is no longer such an issue and we are happy to offer lessons all year round.
Q. What should I do if I wear contacts?
A. Seeing is of course helpful when learning to surf, although perfect vision is not required. We recommend disposable lenses, or alternatively an old pair.
Q. I have a medical condition, can I still learn to surf?
A. Yes, but we need to know about it. If you suffer from any medical condition(s) that may affect safety, e.g. asthma, epilepsy, diabetes, heart problems, back and/or joint injuries, please ensure you inform your instructor before your lesson.
Open all days at all times of daylight.
We normally do 10am and 2pm surf lessons on a weekend but we are flexible.
