Thunderous noise, churning water, rapids all around you and some serious teamwork is vital to get you through it all. This is the unbelievable thrill of Newcastle white water rafting.
Your experience starts the moment you arrive at the centre with staff on hand to welcome you and help you sign in. You will then be measured up for your wetsuit and safety gear in our dedicated kit store. After a quick change it's time for your safety briefing and introduction to white water rafting techniques.
Once on the water your expert instruction will guide you on the flat water lake and offer extra training techniques. Make sure you have paid attention because once the practice is over it's time to experience the raging white water for real! Hold on tight to your paddle.....
You and your fellow rafters will be led down a varied white water run in an inflatable six man raft. The amount of runs you will get will be dependent on conditions and time.
Transformed through a massive £4.6 million transformation we are the only sustainable artificial White Water Course in the world. There are two rafting courses; a long course and a short course, both of which have unique, fun and challenging features.
Our updated white water course will also boast impressive Archimedes Screws. These four giant screws allow us to pump the water back to the top to keep the action going. At least seven tons of water per second will be pushed through any given point on the course.
Our highly trained instructors will show you the basics before turning up the heat and taking you down the course.
With six people in a raft, negotiate the rapids on this man-made tidal controlled course!
Up to eight people can be allocated to one raft, with six in the raft and two watching, replacing each other during the session.
