Getting There

Let the train take the strain

Go green and go by train. London is well serviced with lots of major stations. We recommend www.nationalrail.co.uk/ to search for the best route. For the best rates possible, we always book our tickets as soon as they are released, usually 12 weeks in advance.

Take a road trip

Driving to London is pretty straight forward, but parking is tricky and watch out for that pesky Congestion Charge. The saying "All roads lead to London" is not an overstatement.

Last stop old London Town

Get a coach into Victoria Coach station, this can be a cheaper way to travel but can take longer than the train and there aren’t as many routes either.

Getting Around

Going underground

Your best bet is to download a tube map onto your phone and use the underground, operated by Transport For London, or as we call it, TFL. It’s so simple to pay your fare, use your contactless card and swipe in and out of the barriers, TFL will charge you accordingly. If you don’t have a fancy contactless card, don’t worry, you can use an Oyster Card.

Taxi

If you’re not feeling the tube, then you can also hail a cab from almost any street in London. You’ll always be able to pick up a cab, if not, try Uber. Book a taxi directly from the app on your smart phone and load it with your debit/credit card. You won’t need to worry about cash as it will pay the cabbie automatically, split the fare with your friends, but you all must be signed up to Uber to do this.

The alternative option is cruising the streets on Boris Bikes or hopping onto a London Red Bus

Top Tip

To avoid any stag weekend travel hiccups double check there aren’t any engineering works or closures.

There's a great site that helps you work out the number of steps and minutes that it takes to walk between Tube stations, visit tfl.gov.uk/walking
