The city is bursting with things to do! Bristol stag weekends are always a buzz of activity!
I don’t think we can go any further without mentioning the brand new, exciting development that is Cabot Circus! A perfect place for Bristol stag parties to start! It is so new it only opened in September 2008! It has taken over three years to build, costing in excess of £500 million; Cabot Circus is providing the city centre with over 120 new shops including major flagship stores.
Cabot Circus is not only home to shops. There are also over 25 new restaurants and cafes where you can take a break from all that shopping and enjoy a quick latte or a tasty lunch. Establishments such as Giraffe, Yo Sushi! Coal Grill & Bar and Krispy Kreme doughnuts have arrived in Bristol demonstrating that the city really is on the move.
As if that wasn’t enough, Cabot Circus also offers a huge cinema with 13 screens, one of which shows films in 3D!

In and around the city you will find a wealth of historic houses and estates to visit, for example, Berkeley Castle – England’s oldest inhabited castle and most historic home. Or perhaps a visit to the Aston Court Estate would be in order, a historic park near the centre of Bristol covering 850 acres of woods and grasslands. There are also two 18-hole pitch and putt golf courses with stunning views across the city. Corsham Court, Cleveden Court and Dyrham Park are just a few of the other outstanding country houses in the area that are worth a visit during your stag night Bristol.
Continuing with culture for a moment, we must tell you about the other museums and galleries that the city has to offer. The British Empire and Commonwealth Museum has state of the art exhibits that bring to life over 500 years of history. The museum is located near to Temple Meads station.
Bristol City Museum and Art Gallery have a varied collection of art, archaeology and natural history, and be sure to check out the remarkable new Egypt exhibition. There is also the Royal West of England Academy, a relatively young art gallery but nonetheless exhibits over 1200 works of art from the 19th century to present day.
Over at the harbour side not only are there an abundance of cafes and bars for you to chill out at, there is also Arnolfini. A leading centre for the contemporary arts Arnolfini houses film, live art, dance, music and more; a definite stop off for your Bristol stag nights. They also house a great café bar with Mediterranean inspired food and drink.
During your stag nights in Bristol why not head over to the city centre ice rink, where you can enjoy lessons, sessions or even ice karting!
Why not visit the UK’s largest aviation collection at the Fleet Air Arm Museum where you can try a simulated helicopter ride or experience life on the flight deck of HMS Ark Royal. Haynes International Motor Museum is another one for the guys. Situated at Sparkford in Somerset, it features the UK’s largest exhibition of some of the greatest cars from around the world. From the nostalgic classics of the 50’s and 60’s, glorious Bentleys and Rolls Royces, to the ‘need for speed’ super cars of today like the Jaguar XJ220. There is also the famous Red Room, 11 huge display halls and one of the UK’s largest speedway collections.
With a few golf clubs and ranges around the city it would be easy to enjoy a round or two on your stag party Bristol?
About 30 miles away from the city you can visit the Castle Coombe circuit. With close exciting racing and some of the largest grids in the country, a race programme often featuring 10 or 11 races crammed into a 4 ½ hour afternoon Castle Coombe Circuit is sure to keep you boys entertained on your stag night Bristol!
Bristol is home to two league football clubs, Bristol City and Bristol Rovers. Bristol City are the more popular team and have announced plans for a new 30,000 all seater stadium to replace their current home Ashton Gate.
