Situated not far from London with an impressive railway network Reading has to be one of the easiest destinations in the UK to get to for a hen weekend.

Within easy reach of local and international airports Reading can be accessed from all areas of the UK.

Gatwick Airport www.gatwickairport.com is 56 miles away about 1 hour 8 minutes drive and Stansted Airport www.stanstedairport.com is 86 miles away about 1 hour 45 minutes by car. Even Luton Airport is worth checking out, as it is only 56 miles away 1 hour 7 minutes by car. With the rise of cheap fares from low-cost airlines it may be cheaper to fly than go by car or rail.

By Train

However should you wish to travel to Reading by train you will not be disappointed as it is probably the best connected train station in the UK. Reading Station is a major junction point on the National Rail System situated just a 5-minute walk from the shopping and commercial areas on the northern edge of the town centre.

It’s so well connected that you can travel from the far reaches of the country to Reading. Bristol, Bath, Newport and Cardiff are on the Great Western Line. The Cross Country Line serves Birmingham and Scotland to the north and Winchester, Southampton and Bournemouth to the south. Guildford and Gatwick Airport are on the North Downs Line. The First Great Western Line serves Basingstoke, Newbury, Oxford and London -Paddington and London -Waterloo is served by South West Trains.

- 6 hours from Edinburgh to get to your hen party Reading.

An express bus service links Reading with Heathrow Airport and is run by Great Western Trains.

By Car

Reading is easy to access by car too for your hen party Reading.
Travelling from the North head for the M1 or M40 then travel anticlockwise round the M25 to the M4. Reading is situated just a short drive along the M4 westbound. From the South head up the M3. M23 or M20 then travel clockwise on the M25 until you come to the M4. For those coming from the West Country head up the M5 and join the M4.
