TRAVEL TO NOTTINGHAM


hen travel nottinghamNottingham is conveniently situated at the heart of the UK, with excellent air, rail and road links. The proximity of the M1, A1, A52 and A46 means it’s easily accessible by car. While speedy rail links run from Nottingham to much of the UK and those travelling further afield can use the international East Midlands Airport.

The city is perfectly placed to host those Nottingham hen weekends which ever direction you’re travelling from.

B Car

One of the UK's major motorways, the M1 runs the length of Nottinghamshire. A convenient route from London, Watford, Manchester, Leeds and Leicester, the M1 also links to the M42 and M6 motorways to provide easy access to Birmingham, the West Midlands and Staffordshire.

The M5 and M50 enable those from Wales and the south west to be within a two-hour drive and the M14 offers access from the east and the M62 via the M6, from the north west.

By Train

Using East Midlands Trains' route, Nottingham is less than two hours from London St Pancras. The route from the north which departs every 30 minutes includes Leeds, York, Scarborough, Doncaster and Sheffield. From the south, East Midlands Trains includes services from Luton Airport and Derby.

GNER provides routes from London King's Cross to Inverness, stopping at cities such as Edinburgh, York, Leeds and Cambridge. Within Nottinghamshire, it services Retford and Newark. Certain departures offer 'Mallard' trains, which boast enhanced levels of comfort throughout, on board internet access and Wi-Fi. Additionally, all departures offer a first class option.

Northern Rail operates from the north of the country including Sunderland, Carlisle, the Lake District, Chester, Crewe, Stoke on Trent, Manchester, Warrington, Liverpool and Lincoln.
