DURING THE DAY ON YOUR HEN WEEKEND LEEDS
Fact: it’s a pleasure to walk around the largely pedestrianised city centre and that’s all thanks to the inspirational Victorian town planners. Congratulations to them for the beautiful and downright elegant network of arcades housing the most delightful array of shops for your delight.
Yes, on our Leeds by Day section shopping had to be right up there. If you find your credit card itching to flex itself, be let free and explore you’re assured plenty of opportunities during your Leeds hen parties.
You’ll find the Victoria Quarter crammed full of designer shops and cafes housed in the most stunningly beautiful arcades, you can’t not spend money here.
The Corn Exchange – you’ll find the more off-beat here - is one of Britain’s finest Victorian buildings that was restored in the late 90’s and now houses shops and cafes to tempt you.
Briggate is fully pedestrianised and that’s where you find all the usual high street names. The Headrow shopping centre also has familiar shops housed under one roof.
Kirkgate market has 700 stalls making it the largest market in Europe and is guaranteed to meet everyone’s pocket.
So whatever your budget (what’s that when it comes to girly shopping) the beauty of Leeds is you can easily walk to all of these – wow it couldn’t be easier to spend your money.
The Light claims fantastic shopping, restaurants, nightlife and the ultimate in leisure and relaxation all under one roof. Its true, this is a cosmopolitan retreat in the heart of Leeds city centre, housing some well know fashion and designer retailers, numerous cafes and bars, a 13 screen cinema and state of the art health club.

Just wanted to say big thank you to everyone for our Hen party.
We all really enjoyed the day and had such a good laugh.
The venue was great and also in a perfect location to fit in with our lunch arrangements.
Becky who took our dance class was so lovely and made us all feel completely at ease, so the afternoon was really fun and lively, although we are all aching today!
Anyway thank you all again and will definitely recommend your company in the future.

Leeds recognised quickly that it had sufficient to attract and more importantly keep happy the millions of visitors heading its way. This city was most definitely so proud to welcome the Royal Armouries in 1995.
Hen party Leeds girls can experience spectacular live demonstrations, authentic re-enactments and even cheer away at a jousting exhibition.
Robbie Williams, U2, Madonna, Rolling Stones …. the list goes on …. have all played at the Roundhay Park arena to crowds of over 100,000. This arena is a natural amphitheatre, which provides great viewing whether its pop or fireworks you’re there to watch.
The area of Roundhay, Leeds was originally a three-mile square hunting park for the Delacy Family. It was purchased by the City of Leeds in 1872 and opened as a public park.
The Park now hosts scented gardens for the blind, Monet and Alhambra gardens, the very popular Tropical World and the fishing area that is Waterloo Lake.
Leeds City Art Gallery, just off the Headrow, could well be worth a visit on your hen party in Leeds. They feature the classic artists whilst putting on displays to support local talent. Opening hours are Monday, Wednesday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday from 9.00 a.m. to 17.00 p.m.
Surrounded by some of the city’s most important buildings (Town Hall, Civic Hall, Leeds General Infirmary - to name a few) Millennium Square is the cultural root of Leeds city centre. This is a distinct area for outdoor performances and huge tv screen are erected for public viewing of major events such as world cup matches.
This is the city’s first public square in over 60 years. You could even ice skate here at certain times of the year.
Leeds has its fair share of country piles, with Harewood House and Temple Newsham being fine examples.
Harewood House is the outstanding home of the Earl of Harewood and you’ll find a bounty of stunning architecture, exquisite Adam interiors, award winning gardens and the Yorkshire Planetarium. Opening hours are Mon – Sun 10.00 a.m. to 17.00 p.m.
Temple Newsham is the birthplace of Lord Darnley (famous for being the husband of Mary Queen of Scots). It is one of England’s great historic estates, well worth a visit for educational purposes, but equally utilised in a thoroughly modern way by hosting top bands for 70,000 free guests for ‘Party in the Park’.
At the Leeds Waterfront you will find the derelict canal-side buildings that have been revamped or replaced by high profile commercial developments, cool housing and the sub-terranean retail complex at Granary Wharf.
You will be delighted to hear that Leeds has truly embraced the cosmopolitan café society and as such it’s so easy for you to eat, drink and be merry at any time of day on your Leeds hen weekends. We have just aimed to give you just a taster on what’s on offer, now go and enjoy.
