Excellent rail links throughout the UK make the train a great way to get to your hen night Edinburgh, an interesting fact … the Great North Eastern Railway (GNER) line is the fastest intercity railway in the UK, with a journey time of just under 5 hours between Edinburgh (Waverley) and London (King's Cross). You could start your FREEDOM hen weekend in Edinburgh with the Caledonian Sleeper between London (Euston) and Edinburgh 7 nights a week.

Edinburgh train station (Waverley) has great rail links to other major cities too.
Edinburgh Waverley railway station, commonly referred to as just "Waverley" locally, is the main railway station in the Scottish capital Edinburgh. It has great rail links to the other major cities too. The journey from London is about 5 hours, Birmingham 4 hours 30 min, Manchester 4 hours, York 3 hours whilst Newcastle, Inverness and Aberdeen are all about 2 hours away by train.

Interestingly Waverley covers over 25 acres (101,000 m˛) in the centre of the city and is the second largest mainline railway station in the UK (in terms of area) —the largest being London Waterloo.

Because Edinburgh is located at the heart of the Scottish motorway network, it can be surprisingly quick and easy to get to your hen party Edinburgh by car. It’s the A9 and M90 from the north of Scotland, the M8 from the west coast, and the A1 from the south of Scotland. If you dare (and we do!) to cross the border from England you can do it on the M6 and M74 from the west, or the A1 from the east.

To be extra helpful we’ve even worked out the following approximate mileage and traveling time for your hen party in Edinburgh.

Inverness - 157 miles - 3 hours
Aberdeen - 125 miles - 2 hours 47 mins
Dundee - 62 miles - 1 hour 22 mins
St Andrews - 50 miles - 1 hour 10 mins
Glasgow - 47 miles - 58 mins
Newcastle - 121 miles - 2 hours 38 mins
Leeds - 216 miles - 4 hours 21 mins
Birmingham - 292 miles - 5 hours 15 mins
Manchester - 217 miles - 4 hours 3 mins
London - 206 miles - 7 hours 24 mins
Bristol - 374 miles - 6 hours 24 mins
Brighton - 465 miles - 8 hours
Norwich - 374 miles - 7 hours 41 mins

Taxis and buses are plentiful, so it will be easy to leave your car at the hotel and not use it again until time to leave. Edinburgh runs a night bus service through the city to accommodate all the party animals.

Travelling by Limo is fun, all in together, have a drink on the way, music on loud and feel like serious celebs, this could certainly be an option for your Edinburgh hen nights.
