You’ll find Bournemouth on the very beautiful south coast, in the county of Dorset. Yes it may seem a very long way from your home, but you’ve various options for your Bournemouth hen nights.

It could well be the options of flying or utilising British Rail appeal to you and your fellow partygoers. So, we’ve a few handy hints to consider when planning your journey.

Bournemouth Airport (BOH) is just 5 miles outside of Bournemouth, so well placed to welcome Bournemouth hen parties. You will find more choice of destinations into Southampton Airport (SOU). It is 33 miles away, only 48 minutes driving. This airport likes to be thought of as “the local airport you can breeze through.” It is owned by BAA and accommodates 1.96 million each year.

You may well bear in mind that both Heathrow and Gatwick are viable options for your hen weekend Bournemouth, as both are easily accessible by car, coach or train.

Let the train take the strain! S.W. trains operate a comprehensive service from London, Waterloo into Bournemouth railway station, taking about 1 hour 45 minutes. Virgin trains go north, to Reading, Oxford, Birmingham (3 hours and 10 minutes), the N.W., Yorkshire and the N.E. It’s a long journey from bonny Scotland, &hours 20 minutes from Edinburgh.

You could be interested to read that the station operates a PLUSBUS system. You can enhance your rail ticket to give you unlimited use of bus travel for the day, at an extra cost of £3 – could be useful.

If you and your friends are deciding to use the car then take the M3 out of London or if you’re coming from further north head south on the M40/A34 from Birmingham.
