POINTS OF INTEREST FOR YOUR BOURNEMOUTH HEN PARTIES
hen organisers bournemouth

We mentioned earlier that you ladies might think to start off your party night with a few cocktails. So many have been created and given hysterical names but the top ten still remains the tried and tested and clearly loved, and they are: -

Screwdriver – vodka and orange juice
Bloody Mary – vodka and tomato juice
Manhattan – whisky, vermouth and angostura bitters
Pina Colada – rum and pineapple juice
Vodka Martini – vodka and vermouth
White Russian – vodka, kahlua and cream
Margarita – tequila and triple sec
Cosmopolitan – vodka, triple sec and cranberry
Screaming Orgasm – kahlua, irish cream, amaretto and vodka
and the Dirty Banana – tia maria, banana and cream.

Being the kind-hearted souls we are here at FREEDOM we have a few top hangover cure tips.

Before Crashing Out:
* Drink a pint of water or even better vitamin C laden orange juice
* eat – almost anything will do as a lack of sugar causes that wobbly trembling feeling.

Next Morning:
* Big fry – it’s the one time you can legitimately order the full works. It’s official that this will give you an energy boost and is good at clearing out the toxins – honestly! Eggs and meat are rich in amino acids.
* Hair of the Dog? Oh yes this gives your body something else to think about, but you’ll still have to face the hangover eventually.
*Water – drink a pint every hour all day.
* Sleep!!!

We explained how much we’d have to bang on about the beach, this really is what Bournemouth is all about, so without wanting to preach we thought it appropriate to remind you of ‘safety in the sun’: -

The sun is at its hottest between 11am and 3pm
Use a good, strong sunscreen, recommended at least an SPF of 15
Apply liberally all day.
Wear a hat, sunglasses and lip balm. (Hats and shades are such a fashion accessory, this should not prove too difficult).
Drink lots – oh ladies you know we mean water.

and equally ‘safety in the sea’: -

Don’t eat or drink before swimming
Swim in line with the shore and close to the beach
Keep clear of cliff edges
Know the warning signs – Red flag means dangerous to swim
Red and Yellow means lifeguards on duty
Black and White means it’s a surfer’s area.

Of course we are assuming you’ll want to look cool at the beach, if you want to impress the beach hunks take note of the cool clothing labels. Some will be familiar names like Animal, O’Neill, Billabong and Quicksilver, but there are others that would really impress.

Gul is the U.K’s biggest watersports company and does its own lifestyle clothing range. Hurley is an American surfing clothing label and Protest Boardwear do their own range too.

OK we believe you probably didn’t know these facts about Bournemouth. Yes they may be bizarre, unusual, mundane and off-centre. No we can’t promise they will be useful, relevant or even interesting – but here goes:

Was once referred to as ‘God’s waiting room’, but now lays claim to be the south coast Ibiza and is known affectionately as ‘Bomo’.

The Pier was first opened in 1880 at a cost of £2,600; it cost £1.7m to restore in 1979.

The birthplace of the famous – Max Bygraves, Enid Blyton and Robert Louis Stevenson.

The Bournemouth Echo started publication in 1900.

The Pavilion was built in 1929.

Today the populations is approximately 164,000
