Two choices for a great morning or afternoon activity session in the Nottingham area.
Option One
This motorsports package offers the thrills of quad biking in the heart of Sherwood Forest along with the 2 mile an hour adrenalin rush you can only get with off road 4 x 4 driving.
For the woodland quad trek have 150 acres of woodland that the trek runs through. There are six separate stages each one more difficult than the last. These bikes travel through the forest over banks and through water troughs, this event will certainly hit the mark.
The 4 x 4 off road covers similar ground as the quad trek, as well having areas a jet ski would feel at home. These amazing off road vehicles will astound you with there agility and power, that's assuming you listen to your instructor.
You have to trust him as much as the machine, when some one tells you to take both your feet off all the peddles as your facing down hill at 45 degrees heading into a deep pit full of sludge you may give him a double take but both he and the vehicle know what they are doing.
Option Two
This option gives you the opportunity to try three totally different events.
You have the woodland quad trek and also the blindfold 4 x 4 driving for motorsports events and a choice of either archery or the assault course as an additional event.
For the blindfold 4 x 4 driving we have a 770 metre slalom course all everyone has to do is drive around the course, it all seems so easy that is until our instructor hands you your blacked out goggles. You are now depending on your team mates to give you instructions to help you make it around the course in time and hopefully without hitting the slalom poles!
When you are in a land rover on an off road surface, blindfolded ,it is difficult enough to know if you are going either forward or backwards let alone left or right !
For the archery we may be in Sherwood Forest but we cannot guarantee that we will be able to turn you into Robin Hood or Maid Marion but we can offer you a chance to try your hand at the ancient art and maybe you can hit the bulls-eye.
An alternative event to the archery is the assault course, there’s no better way to get to know your team mates than to throw the gauntlet down and challenge them to a head to head race. The course covers a couple of acres and has all the usual suspects, the scramble net, Burma bridge, rope swing the wall, black hole and more. Each member of the team must complete each element of the course before the rest of the team can move on.
Easy you say, well maybe for you but each obstacle challenges a different fear, a tight space, a blacked out hole, a high wall or a wide ravine to swing over, there will be at least one if not more in your team that need your support and help at some point around the course.
